Chryso®Dry-Block G3 (formerly DRY-BLOCK® G3)

The Chryso®Dry-Block System consists of two separate admixtures. Chryso®Dry-Block G3 is mixed throughout the concrete during manufacture of the concrete masonry unit (CMU) and Chryso®Dry-Block Mortar is added to the mortar.

Chryso®Dry-Block G3 is the latest addition to the Chryso®Dry-Block System family of integral water repellent admixtures. Through its novel chemistry,Chryso®Dry-Block G3 provides excellent water repellency while improving colour vibrancy and controlling both primary and secondary efflorescence.

Chryso®Dry-Block G3 provides water repellency and also improves cement dispersion. Through this dispersion action, cement and pigment reductions may be possible, but testing is recommended to determine reduction potential.

Chryso®Dry-Block G3 may also allow for increased water in the concrete mix, which also promotes greater cement hydration in the CMU. Chryso®Dry-Block G3 improves the plasticity of the mix therefore eliminating the need to use a second admixture for machinability.
